WHAT IS NAS
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2021, on behalf of the Education Ministry in 733 sections across the country.
The CBSE will conduct NAS 2021 on November 12 in sample seminaries to know the literacy achievement position of scholars of class 3, 5, 8 and 10.
NAS is a public- position large-scale assessment which provides a comprehensive and authentic database for bringing in qualitative enhancement in the education system, the CBSE said.

The CBSE informed it has appointed quarter- position fellow, who are authorised to appoint spectators from CBSE seminaries--vice-principals, PGTs, TGTs, PRTs-- for the check.
Sharing in the NAS will be academically useful, the CBSE said. Spectators will get training to conduct the check, it said.
CBSE is conducting NAS 2021 on behalf of the Education Ministry.

WHEN WILL EXAM ?
National Achievement Survey-2021 is listed on 12th November 2021. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has developed the Assessment Framework for gauging the capabilities attained by the scholars vis-a-vis literacy issues. The Survey goes beyond the scorecard and includes the background variables to relate pupil's performance in different literacy issues vis-a-vis contextual variables. This public position check would be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as Assessment Administrator for Grade 3, 5, 8 and 10 scholars of State Govt. seminaries, Govt. Backed seminaries, Private Unaided honored seminaries and Central Government seminaries. The Survey will be conducted in a monitored terrain in the tried seminaries. Testing Design for NAS 2021 intends to support the predefined and agreed objects of the public assessment, NAS 2021 intends to give information of what India's scholars know and can do in crucial grades and subjects at public, state, quarter and academy type. Selection of tried seminaries is grounded on UDISE20 data. Thus, the States, Sections used for delineation of the samples for NAS 2021 is exactly as per the UDISE20.

PURPOSE OF NAS
NAS findings would help diagnose learning gaps of scholars and determine interventions needed in education programs, tutoring practices and literacy. Through its individual report cards, NAS findings help in capacity structure for preceptors, officers involved in the delivery of education. NAS 2021 would be a rich depository of attestations and data points incubating the compass of exploration and development. With this in view, NAS-2021 Portal has been developed by NIC as a dynamic platform in discussion with the NCERT, CBSE, UNICEF, DDG (Stats) and NITI Aayog under the overall guidance of Ministry of Education, Government of India. This gate would be a sustainable educational operation information system both for helping in smooth conduct of NAS-2021 as well as for unborn decision- making grounded on data analytics. The gate provides part- grounded functionality and dashboard for managing the coffers ( colorful functionaries involved in the conduct & administration of NAS), exertion and event monitoring, capacity structure, reporting & attestation, post NAS logical report in the customized formats.
